That Voting Rights Act being gutted. All the 60s protests, marches, speeches, riots to get it all rolled back.
The same situation (although earlier) with Roe v Wade, affirmative action/DEI etc. All the struggles to get those rights/gains all being undone now.
As for the SCOTUS makeup now, there were 4 seats that would have went the other way. It hurts.
Well, here is to the ones who tried to do right by the people but are always outnumbered. (Makes me wonder about their workplace):

I see what everyone is saying. In fact it’s reported that the ratings fell 50% overall from season 1. It is repetitive: Kingpin, city politics, DD, Bullseye, storylines hitting too close to home (US). Can the show move on from that?

Ok. That puzzle: A room of 100 people with 99 of them left handed and one right handed. That’s 99/100 or 99% left handed in the room. Now… if 50 left handed left the room that would leave 1 right handed and 49 left handed. 49/50 comes out to 98% left handed.
So 50 left handed have to leave the room.

In the Netflix series, there were competing mob factions. One of them was Asian and they operated from the ports to smuggle weapons and drugs. The show could move on from the Kingpin to Asian mobs and that might be the storyline to bring in ninjas etc. We’ll see
When I read Miller’s run on the title, it made me wonder “What are ninjas doing on 48th and 10th?”. It was comics and explained that the Kingpin could hire elite assassins. That might not go over well on streaming, but an Asian mob succeeding Fisk it might work that way.

I had a thanks to njerry posting… I have always been railing about voter mentality for the longest. The US has been called a “stupid country” and there have been books touching on the sociology of people voting against their best interests, voting to spite others, single issue, ignorance, being fickle, not seeing the bigger picture etc. and then always these questions of “Why can’t the US have some of these cool national programs like in other countries?” (As one book said when it came to things that used to be exclusive only to them, they would rather not have that benefit that would be all inclusive. They would vote against it out of spite just to deprive the rest.)
Some of the MAGA voters are regretting their decisions only because it’s starting to affect their bottom line. They really voted for others to be the target and are upset now that they did not see how interconnected things were. They never expected it, but they ended up voting for their own foreclosure, being let go from work, paying more overall (gas, groceries). Some ended up voting for their own deportation. It’s all a mess.

The groups En Vogue, TLC, and Salt n Pepper announced a revival/nostalgia tour, but then news came out that TLC member (Chilli) donated to the MAGA presidential campaign and posted about Michelle Obama.
And I know about her battle with sickle cell anemia. She practically took action for the research to be defunded. She is another voter who doesn’t see the larger picture, how interconnected things are

It will get better. I’ve seen the trailers of who is coming later on. I was outside the church were they filmed an episode. Charlie Cox was right in front of me and the security guy told me no pics of him. I did get Wilson Bethel (Bullseye) though.
Production wise, not entirely but it feels like Netflix but with Disney budget. Makes me wonder how much more the Netflix seasons would have been.
As for the Kingpin NYC regime and the Anti Vigilante Task Force, it is such thinly veiled social/politcal commentary, reminiscent of… but I can’t quite put my finger on it 🤣🤣🤣

In that case, might as well remove baseball from the Olympics. Should remove soccer and tennis as well given the World Cup and Grand Slam tournaments.

WNBA update:
I hope the players get this. Some of them have to play overseas in the off season to supplement. Never made enough on the league alone unless they got a huge sneaker or sports gear endorsement contract.
Also for most, the only time they look into women’s sports is when the men’s sports season is slow, who is cute or “hot”, some suspicion of who might be trans, or some back and forth story involving race.

A few days ago was a small instance at this Summit meeting. There were Spanish leaders and Marco Rubio spoke Spanish to them and then turned the podium to 47 and Hesgeth. Hesgeth started with “I only speak American”.
It may have been a backhanded slight in that he only recognizes monolingual English speaking as true Americans, implying that he doesn’t care for bilingual Spanish speakers as real authentic Americans. Makes me wonder what was running through Rubio’s mind.

Looking at the record of Casey Means, who is nominated to be Surgeon General: She dropped out of her residency so her medical license became inactive. She does not have a license to practice medicine. Her views are very controversial. Critics are having a field day.
If she gets in, between her and RFK Jr…and the GOP was going on and on about DEI and bringing in genuine qualified people.
