Yeah, I remembered about that. He shared a birthday with my wife…So good Ol’ Treebeard has been in my thoughts quite a bit over the last couple of days.

My deepest sympathies guys. I can’t claim to have known Miqque all that well, but I was sincerely and viscerally sad to hear of his passing.

No, you are giving me $200 for Tim’s puppy.

    Um…is that a euphemism?

Yes. It is true that one thing will lead to another. That’s how things happen. That’s sort of how time works as well. One thing happens and then another one happens.

What those things are and whether there is any causal connection between those things is a little more uncertain.

It’s kind of a boring poster, isn’t it? For me, the classic James Bond Poster should be painted and have Bond standing suavely, wearing a tuxedo and holding a gun, all in front of a strangely arranged montage of elements of the film (semi-naked women, explosions, helicopters etc…)

I think that my favourite is On Her Majesty’s Secret Service, where Bond appears to doing a ski-jump while looking suave, wearing a tuxedo and holding the gun. That shows us that Bond is just a brilliant multitasker.

I love that the Christmas Doctor Who release is called Blood on Santa’s Claws.

I just read that (March of the Lemmings) too. I had read some of the columns when they were originally printed in the Observer (i.e. what the Guardian mysteriously turns into on a Sunday). I enjoyed them a lot more this time around. I know a bit more about Stewart Lee now and I think they benefit from being read in a chunk.

But like Dave says, the choice to include the below the line comments is an inspired one. Some of the negative reactions are hilarious.

If you like this sort of thing, you will like it. If you don’t, this won’t change your mind.

Name: Simon Jones…I have been telling people since I was child that my middle name is Mandrake, but isn’t.

Age Range: It ain’t the years honey, it’s the mileage.

    Comics you’re currently buying:
Amazing Spider-Man, Criminal, Fantastic Four, Immortal Hulk and whatever Matt Garvey is working on these days.

    Favorite Millar book? 1985.

Favorite comic characters: Peter Parker/Spider-Man, Superman, Mr. Fantastic Captain Britain, Giffen era Blue Beetle, Black Panther.

Top TV shows right now: Star Trek Discovery, Doctor Who…and I’m a bit behind, but I love Game of Thrones. I’m studiously avoiding spoilers. But Sean Bean is awesome in it. I can’t wait to see how his character develops through the series.

Best movie you saw in the last year: have agreed that the portals scene in Endgame is not just the greatest moment in the MCU, it may be the pinnacle of human endeavour. We may have been a bit hyped when we had that discussion and much sugar may have been consumed. So Endgame.

Where do you live? In a little town once upon a time, not so very long ago and not so very far away.

Bank Account, Social Security Number, Mothers Maiden name? I don’t understand the question. I just called her Mother…

What do you like about The Carrier? The carrying part. I’m exhausted. Can you take these bags.

If you could change one thing about the world, what would it be? Add a reboot button to allow us to turn it off and back on, reset connections and run a login script that would clear any glitches.

If you could have one last meal before your glorious death in the Thunderball arena, what would you eat? Steak medium rare and a baked potato…And could we could a bottle of wine for the table?

Top 5 fictional characters you’d go to Vegas with? Danny Ocean, Nick Fury, James Bond, Bertram Wooster, Reginald Jeeves. Trust me, it would be a blast.

If you could visit one place, where would you go? The Marvel Universe.

If you had to room with another Millarworlder, who would you pick? I’m not sure anyone would put up with me. In the Odd Couple scenario, I’m very much a Felix.
