Maggie Smith had died.
She was an incredible actress.
RIP
She was a consummate actor, giving her best in every role from comedy to drama to romance to the original Clash of the Titans. Long after her contemporaries were “retired” or not being offered any more roles, Dame Maggie could be seen in (almost) every Harry Potter film, in the two Best Marigold Hotel films, and her iconic performance in Downton Abbey. She will be missed.

Teri Garr, Star of ‘Young Frankenstein’ and ‘Tootsie,’ Dies at 79
Such sad news. I remember having a crush on her back in 1972 when she was a featured cast member in the Sonny and Cher Comedy Hour, then seeing her in a rerun episode of the original Star Trek series and crushing on her all over again. Great comedic actress, but she also handled drama well (such as in Close Encounters of the Third Kind).
So long Greg Hildebrandt.
Sad news.
His episode of Deep Space Nine is one of the all-time best.
He’s one of those actors who also really stood out in supporting roles. His performances in stuff like X-Files and The Rock are still memorable decades later.
It’s OK, he’s just had his memory wiped and had his face changed so he can re-enter Klingon society.
Just saw this. Really shitty, and 69 is not enough, like 20 years cheated.
Always liked him, and that voice!
Strangely enough I have met and/or worked with multiple people with that name. Honestly would cough anyone of them up, but it just dont work that way.

Jim Abrahams, Comedy Writer-Director for ‘Airplane!’ & ‘Naked Gun’ Dies at 80
Oh wow, that’s a big one. Kentucky Fried movie and Airplane! were works of comedic genius at their time, and incredibly influential. Not necessarily in a good way – most movies that try to spoof the way those did in later years are really, really terrible. But that doesn’t change how good those originals were.
