    America is truly fucked.

So is Europe. We’re becoming ungovernable as a country. It’s a cacaphony of screaming morons.

One major bridge in the Netherlands was recently partially closed off for car traffic because of lack of maintenance. Estimates are there are more than a hundred different points in our infrastructure, like roads, bridges etc which are close to failing or already failing

That’s a huge issue here in the states, as well. We have so much aging infrastructure, it’s scary. Occasionally, some bridge or the like will catastrophically fail and kill people. I can’t imagine the number of ticking time bombs there are in the US.

I guess it was only a matter of time before there would be a terror attack at a pride parade.

At Dublin Pride in 2017 or 2018 there was a credible threat of violence, the Garda armed response unit were deployed and carrying guns along the route.

Sometimes I think there is a deliberate attempt going on to destroy this country by some of our own people. I mean obviously Russia is working to destabilize Western Europe, but I think there is more going on. I mean just the fact that there are schools, financed by our government, that are spreading all kinds of hatred, hatred of other people, but also hatred of this country. They know this and it still goes on.

That’s conspirational of course. But more likely it is just the consequences of this soulless kind of liberalism, where all opinions are equal and the government can’t position itself as a moral arbiter or teacher. The neutral state. It gives all sorts of bad actors the opportunity to push their bullshit.

That said, the opposite is probably worse. A government that tries to control people’s opinions. Or other powerful authoritarian structures, like the church.

While China, Russia, North Korea, and other countries definitely perform disinformation and misinformation campaigns, it is not really a left-vs-right horizontal culture war.

Think vertical. This is definitely a class war disguised as a culture war by the wealthy on everyone beneath them. I know you want to blame the left for a lot of things, but that is misplaced. The left and right are being manipulated by the rich to distract everyone from their power and wealth grabs. The rich bend government to their will to meet their ends.

    Think class, not culture.

Well it’s a culture war as well as a class war. Plenty of enemies on all sides.

Spanish prime minster called the crossing of 60,000 migrants into their country in one day an “attack”.  The question then becomes, who is it that is attacking Spain?
