Marjane Satrapi RIP

I just saw that Marjane Satrapi has died, far too young. Persepolis was a great book.

Apparently her husband died last year as well.  That’s incredibly sad.

The first Persepolis was an amazing book, not just for the story but because it was written and drawn by a person who actually lived through those disturbing and brutal events. According to her Wiki page, Satrapi’s family said in a statement that she had “died of sadness” over her husband’s death.

RIP, Marjane.
