Out in April:

You too can own the David Byrne Gets Alzheimers comic srtip.
I own the parts I want in hardback. I might buy it in digital to throw a few dimes in the jar though.
I really want Pirate Corp$ / Hectic Planet collected, but I’m guessing it likely doesn’t stand up.
(I wonder if there are digital/CBZs somewhere on the shadier sides of the net for now)
Aliens vs Avengers
In a lot of ways, this is a depressing read, but it’s a brilliantly executed one.
Thanks for review. Kindle issues are super expensive, but the collected edition isn’t badly priced. Picked up and reading.
I decided to re-watch Kinda and, well, wow, I was surprised at how well paced it was, compared to how I remember the old serials. I thought I was watching the 2nd episode first for a minute. No tardis scenes – jumped right in there, tidy like.
Lets see how it goes
Is ‘The Second Doctor: Beyond War Games’ based on the idea of series 6b – or is it a different take?

Like Tommy Siegel from Jukebox the Ghost? Nice.
No one warned me that Thunderbolts was an essay on depression, trauma and recovery.
Some of those lines cut deep.
(Great movie though)
Yeah, a friend raves about From, but in order to justify a subscription to Paramount Plus I need to have a break in my “to watch” or “to read” lists, but that’ll be a while…
Oh, I’ve got paramount plus for Strange New Worlds right now. I’ll have to give From a look before I cancel, though “From the makers of Lost” puts me off a little
Wait. Really. This has confused me for years.
Of all the… its not bloody Dai Evans or John Smith. There are two significant Nathanial Richards in the 616. WT actual F
Yeah, but 31 million. How much did that Superman costume cost?
He has said he is aiming at a younger audience, and its hitting its marks there.
Maybe that’s it. We are not his target. His target likes shooting at bone dinosaurs from a rotating tower block and the doctor flying under tower bridge on a stolen witch’s broomstick.
The twist with Poppy worked for me, as the entire thing is that the kid isn’t created by the wish. The wish warped view and perception of her, even after it faded.
I like the idea, but where’s the evidence that she existed before wish world? The TARDIS energies rewrote all the “get me home” lines, once she existed, no?
Damn! Now I want a Sandman Mystery Theatre show.
If Spider-Noir does good, dare to dream!
Its got Sandman in the title, but is unsullied by Gaiman
Maybe!
Oh, Spider-man Mystery Theatre!
I really enjoyed it. I could do without the doctors on the telly, but the cameo was delicious.
Just saw online today that JMS was moving to London so that he could work in British TV. I wonder if there’s a rumour there worth spreading.
Not Cardiff though?
Perhaps its Blake’s 7 reboot time?
Alien -> Aliens
We’re Taking Everyone Down With Us forces a young girl to reckon with her father’s villainous legacy in a world of “superspies, power hungry madmen, and delusional world leaders” – GamesRadar/Newsarama
Read the first issue of this and loved it
Sandman Mystery Theatre Compendium Two – Aug. 26th
888 pgs.
Collects Sandman Mystery Theatre #37-70, and Vertigo: Winter’s Edge #1-2.:O FINALLY! Thank you!
Right, I will now buy the first half. I was holding off due to the curse
warning, there are totally spoilers!
I want to make it clear that I hated Elon before it was cool to do so…
However…
oh yes, here we go!
John Malkovich’s Fantastic Four: The First Steps character might be The Red Ghost, a Russian cosmonaut who hangs out with three super-powered apes – and I couldn’t be more excited – GamesRadar/Newsarama
…Created all the way back in 1963’s Fantastic Four #13 by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby, Kragoff is actually one of four cosmonauts embroiled in the Space Race of the ’60s who gained super powers after exposure to Cosmic Rays, just like their American counterparts Reed Richards, Sue Storm, Johnny Storm, and Ben Grimm.
The twist is, the other three cosmonauts who gained powers alongside Kragoff are actually great apes, collectively known as the Super-Apes. Yes, that’s right – the original comic book concept of an anti-FF was a weird old ghost man and his three monkey pals…
I have memories of those folks being in Fantastic four cartoons in the 70s – but that might just be in my brain
wait, isn’t Nathaniel Richards Kang?
so confusing!
is this the teaser for the teaser?
I’ll be picking up book 2 and then I guess I need to face up and read the Invisibles (or Doom Patrol).
(Can I avoid the massive tomes and get Deluxe editions for those?)Jesus, you’ve never read either?!!
I’d go chronologically and start with DP, you can see him evolve as a writer as time goes by.
I think for some reason, he really annoyed my younger self, maybe he seemed over hyped or that Arkham Asylum was very pretty but not that good. For some reason I picked up Seven Solders, after being disappointed with We3 and Marvel Boy and really enjoyed it and have been meaning to give his older works another go.
Its been interesting reading Moores Swamp thing at the same time as Animal Man. Big influence there perhaps?
It looks like amazon has a kindle masterworks sale on – 5 quid/dollars a pop.
I’ve no idea if there’s anything I really want, I did wonder about chris Claremont’s side hustles in Spiderwoman or something like that.
Suggestions, and please don’t say Dazzler?
I’ve completed book one of Grant Morrison’s Animal Man, and its a fascinating book. At the time of publishing it must have been a complete shock, taking some old characters no one loved and treating them like they existed in something like the real world, whilst bringing awareness of being a fictional world just below the surface.
With a feel of 2000AD for grown ups, it probably would have been more suited to Crisis, rather than what Crisis got, with themes of vegetarian and post-colonialism.
I’ll be picking up book 2 and then I guess I need to face up and read the Invisibles (or Doom Patrol).
(Can I avoid the massive tomes and get Deluxe editions for those?)
want a HC? what about this classic?
SPIDER-MAN – FEARFUL SYMMETRY: KRAVEN'S LAST HUNT. VFN- CONDITION.
Monstress Book 3: Deluxe Hardcover – August 5th 2025
Got a great pre-order price.
Either a Black Friday week special, or a mistake.
I had a good look but couldn’t see a great price – where were you looking?
Bad Sisters series one was ace. Word on the street is that series 2 is nae so good.
I loved Shrinking, and obviously Slow Horses is a must watch. So is Ted Lasso.
I loved Lessons in Chemistry, Spirited but I think those are more personal.
The Afterparty was light and fun.
I need to see if Dick Turpin and Time Bandits were any good, but I have a feeling they were not
Severance I keep meaning to commit to.
Much more excited about thunderbolts and their fake Caps than the real one right now.
