I am glad my boys won Tuesday. Sunday was very fun but very tough to watch. Tonight they are playing at home. I hope we can keep the home ice advantage.

Marvel lost it after Endgame. They needed to show us what’s next a lot sooner. Covid did not help but they couldve done a full court press on the TV side. Buzz has a shelf life and it was long dead by the time they brought anything out. Black Widow was not in the timeline and could have waited. Sending Spidey to Europe was a delaying tactic. They needed to continue the storyline.
Imo, they should done a new Avengers movie. They went too far into their artistic sensibilities with The Eternals and Love and Thunder. Tony was dead, Cap was retired, and Thor was washed up. They made Sam turn down the shield out of fear. Wanda went nuts. They put Rhodey in horrendously bad plotline that did not get resolved until 5 years later. Gotg 3 didn’t show until MCU was on its last legs. Their internal mistakes just hurried along their departure and their forecast of a new storyline just made people impatient.
On the TV side, you couldve rebooted Netflix Marvel. You could have done a Young Avengers thing with Peter meeting Cassie meeting Runaways meeting Cloak and Dagger. Introduce Ms.Marvel earlier. Intro Speed and Wiccan, Iron Lad. Feige needed to set aside some resources during the making of Infinity War and Endgame and to get material out there. or did they….. and the lead for their new phase went and died on them. RIP Chadwick Boseman.
Between unforeseen circumstances( Covid, Chadwick) and bad decision making. I would say Karma really knocked them back after the success of the storyline from Iron Man to Endgame.

Im sorry people are missing SNW2. Excusing my infatuation with Jess Bush (Chapel), the stories have been good. Spock as Captain and Spock as human have been interesting episodes. La’an’s trip to an alternative timeline and her past was was good. It was made lighter by the introduction of an Alt Kirk. I’m still waiting for the Lower DECKS crossover.

Lame! no current cast members and Ashley Judd and Alice Eve, really! Ehh. Stick the women from SNW in there and it would clear out at least half that List. Add data’s kid from Picard, Michelle Yeoh, and the Captain of Disco and the only ones left are Farrell and Ryan. I am disqualifying Zoe because the Kelvin Universe is dead after only 3 adventures.

I just saw Al Ewing is giving Thor the Immortal treatment. If he does Thor as well as he did Hulk, this could a great storyline.
I plunged in and bought Ultimate Universe. general spoiler- Hickman loves him some Maker. Maker’s escape plan was a bit gory but amusing.

It’s a spy thriller with shape changers. It also has its main character suffering from old age and ptsd. Thats what it was promoted as. Marvel is always trying new genres. Just because it says Marvel doesn’t mean it will always be high action and superheroes.

Has anyone that Fanatics is trying to take over Sports Marketing? It used to be you only went to fanatics if you couldnt find something elsewhere because it was so cheap but now it is like all those other outlets are gone or taken over by Fanatics. They are even doing official uniforms now. UGH through aggressive funding, they bought a bunch of local major league baseball networks then they sold and bought Topps so if you are a card collector you are the same boat as NHL fans. Most recently they have put a bid in on a gambling network. scary. I’m scared that soon they will start buying teams. Kansas City Royals presented by Fanatics, or Fanatics presents the Houston Texans.

I saw John Wick 4 yesterday. Loved it. Very little story. Amazing amounts of action. Early parts were set in Osaka so lots of Asian Martial Arts. Ended up in Paris with huge car chase/warfare. Donnie Yen was his very cool self. Shamier Anderson from Wynonna Earp played Nobody and he was great as a mercenary tracker.

the Babysitter sequel on Netflix, which was just okay (as opposed to the first one that was surprisingly good).
it was a disappointing sequel(not enough Sam Weaving). While i loved Jenna Ortega in Wednesday, her role in the sequel was meaningless. She was a tack on like Oliver in the old Brady Bunch.

I just read X Force 37 and there is a flashback to a character not seen in over 30 years. Percy is writing an intriguing story. Imo every character currently in the book is or has been a villain. Many of them are trying to reform but the one at the top is not and is pursuing unethical and immoral means to achieve his ends. Is Percy writing a story that may lead to Beast failing and blaming his evil deeds on the suspect mutants under his command?

There is encouraging news about young voters getting out to vote in today’s election but I just came back from voting and it was very elderly based. I feel sorry for many of them. They grew up at a time when the most trusted man in America was a newsman so they tend to believe the charlatans on TV today. the collection of people were mostly based on the time when I voted. I saw a tweet earlier that listed almost every broadcasting and reporting organization as owned by Republicans so I am not going to worry about anything they say for the next couple of days. I am actually waiting for the screams of vote tampering and election frauds because I enjoy the whimperings of the Lost and Beaten. It comes from my addiction to sports where the Loser always screams bloody murder.

It treats each iteration of the Doctor as a different person
I liked this idea. I actually really liked the meeting of the companions as well. I referred to it elsewhere as a meeting of the Doctor’s “children”. For the Doctor scholars here, I pose a question. Is Graham the only companion who is also a parent? I may be biased because I am dealing with a relapse of feelings about my mother’s death, but I thought Graham’s gathering of the abandoned companions was a nice touch in that the companions could deal with emotions they could not discuss with others.
If the rumors of what the storyline of next years eps are true, Yaz would be lost at best and an unnecessary complication at worst. I think the story did its best to let Yaz down easy from a VERY difficult situation. Like Clara’s love towards 11, Yaz’s love for 13 had to be dealt with(and not with a quick phone call). 14 has his own problems to deal with. Leaving Yaz in a group of people who can attempt to understand what she is going through is a lot better than dropping her off and wishing her “good luck”

Ep 3 in the books. I have to limit my enthusiasm because I have always been in love in Shulkie so i think it is all uberfantastical but I thought it was another good episode. I loved the post credit scene for its audacity. I am soo not the target demo for that but I loved it just the same. all those idjits who bombed reviews for this show were proven right. this is not the show for them. say what you like but this show is sticking to its guns and I am happy to see that. It has its Marvel creds. Loved the appearance of those c-list bad guys but that was not a fight scene. it was a beat down but it did intro a possibly interesting sub plot. 3 down 6 to go.
