Intended to post this ages ago, too much else going on.

I 💖 Bob Dylan. Also, bless his cotton socks, he can’t pronounce Bernard or Gerard. I have no clue why that’s funny to me. Point is, he took the time to ‘member the names:

    I will; no worries.

The worst thing they said was to say, ach it’s just the flu. Which I know can be debilitating, don’t get me wrong. But, at the same time, it’s so dismissive. It’s primarily the brain impact I’m concerned about, also the heart – dementia is something I’m all too familiar with. I’m encountering too many with, for want of a better term “Covid” brain: wee ones too; not just an age thing.

Ta for all you said about the abuse in Canadian industrial schools btw.

Thank you Todd and Ben and Christian. It’s reassuring to know that some people can look past the bullshit and focus on the facts.

In spite of the US Government telling me that COVID is over, I will continue to wear a mask on public transportation in the NYC metropolitan area. I will do what I think is right for me and for the people in my household.

Ta great pirate-y cousin Uncle Bulgaria!

I was on a train the other day – only one still wearing a mask. Even most of my medics are abandoning them now. I hate them, but they do work. And I do get it: it’s a combination of cognitive dissonance / exhaustion /propaganda, etc. The plague is still out there plaguing.

I sometimes feel like the train is leaving the likes of me behind. You’ve just earned yourself a train song filled with doggies and some bonus floofy chooks:

I have come to the conclusion that the most accurate depiction of social media and bad faith reality/discourse is The 2 Ronnies’ Four Candles sketch. Go watch if you haven’t.

There is also a slight possibility that reality is drunk (I hugged Batman and encountered Oscar Poe + Jerry is my Auntie twice removed on my very, very distant Pirate Queen’s side. Hope you and yours keeping well, Jerry).

Just in case, no worries, just a wee bit crook, will one of yous look out for Tim and Simon for me. Just send them the odd pupsy pic now and then. That’s all I ask. (On that note, very  sad news about Paul/Lily).

Oh, and did Miqque get his bench? Or a tree. I hope so.

May the forks be with you, Ben

*waves* to Gar for accommodating all this.

I hugged Batman! That’s so stupid.

    Lance Reddick.

Omar is coming to the gate, and will be there for him.

    I hope

That last post was intended for Jerry. (I’m just about ready to lob my fón out the window).

I’m almost always right, Gar. I reckon the North has been used as a testing ground to see what other territories would put up with (allegedly). Even saying that is a tad reductive.

Oh, I’m only here for a wee while.

We’re both related to an Irish pirate queen. Only very distantly, but still.

    Aaaaarghhh!!! 🩜

    Oh yay! Reply button back.

I could not give a flying fuck what the cause is. (I only know for sure it wasn’t Robert Batty-Pattississon 🩇)

Can’t control all those who have taken advantage with their co-opting of the poor & sick & marginalised via crappy PPE, etc.

Utter disgrace. (Oh shut up, silly phone: I said disgrace, NOT Disney: whole other story of monetisation – btw I still adore Disney stuff if the lawyers are listening).

I hate them, but all I can say is wear a mask you numpties, otherwise you’re leaving the likes of me behind. Plus they protect you too

P.S. My poor wee fón must be banjaxed. Won’t currently let me reply directly to posts.

You’re far away from Wales, Gar, so not your fault you’re misinformed. You don’t need to cross over any ocean. No one across the water in the North of Ireland can vote without photo id: just another form of gerrymandering (I don’t mean you, Jerry, obviously)

Knock it off with all the dumb conspiracy crap. (And yes, I do get it: uncertain, conflict-y times your monkey brains are looking for patterns). Divide & conquer – oldest trick in the book.

The truth will owt eventually. Whatever the cause. No matter. Mo Dhaidí still dead. Farm gone. Home gone.  And so many friends/acquaintances I’ve actually lost count (only ‘cos I’ve met so many people). And now I sound all grumpy. Not usually so grumpy.

Not right to blame a single country (so-called “Spanish” flu; I’m thinking of you – oh I give up, but it’s funny too – stupid autocorrect and me all đŸ„° doggies thought I meant Spaniel!

Also, wear a mask because they do protect.

And, wherever njerry is, he my very distant cousin :good:

Thank you kindly, Jessy for the update and for everything you continue to do to look after Miqque. He must’ve been very proud to count you as a friend. I miss him very much. I hope yourself is keeping well.

Shattering news. I’m in bits. Such presence, and, indeed, a present to all who were blessed to know him – it’s difficult to think of Miqque in the past tense. Miqque was a dote, and I doted on him. He was uniquely Miqque. He actively listened. You could see it in his octagonal way of riffing off of others’ posts with his own stories. Offered advice only when asked for. Miqque-mental. Non-judgmental. He was all about community and communication. He had all the twinkle of a starbright mountain sky.

Rest easy, Miqque. The world’s a whole lot dimmer, now you no more are here; but we can all shine a wee bit brighter in your stead.

I’m raising a glass to you now with grĂĄ. (So fill to me the parting glass…)
