I do designs for t-shirts and stickers and whatnot. There’s a varying selection on RedBubble and TeePublic.

I mention this only because I’m quite happy with this new design I did this week.

It would look pretty swish as a vinyl sticker (hint hint)

Sorry for resurrecting an ancient thread but wanted to ask about using these website. I want to upload some designs as stickers and wanted to know: how big a pain in the arse is the uploading process; how big a pain in the arse is the money side. With the second question I’m not looking to make any money, I just want to point people towards a link when they ask about buying some of my designs. Are there any hidden costs with these sites? I’m not wanting to be left out of pocket for the convenience of other folks.

It’s fairly easy. As long as your design is a png with a transparent background and as big as possible, it should upload ok (though try not to forget that everything will be converted to CMYK for printing, as I often do). You can tweak design placement on apparel and accessories and with stickers set whether it’s die cut or got a regular shape.

Moneywise, there aren’t really hidden costs that you’ll be out of pocket for. They’re pretty upfront about the amount you’ll earn from an order. Tee Public has set prices and commission rates, while RedBub lets you set commission rates yourself, so you could lower it as much as it goes if you really don’t want anything from it.

Red Bubble now has account tiers, with new accounts usually put on the lowest where they really do rinse you for an extra “account fee” per order. I think just linking to a social media account moves you up to a better one with fairer fees. TeePub doesn’t do that. Also, TeePub will just pay you what you’ve earned every month, while RedBub will hold your earnings until you’ve hit their £20 threshold.

Thanks for the info. Went with Redbubble in the end due to me wanting to focus on stickers.
