Having nothing better to do, I thought I should draw some stuff, probably something fantasy-related. This is the first result so far:

dragon and dwarf

So if you have anything you want to show, go ahead and post it here.

For some reason you can’t “like” the first post of a forum thread, so I’ll just say: I like that :good:

I randomly sketched up a new character today and now I feel like I want to know more about them.

I always feel like I bugger my drawings up by colouring them, but I had a go with this one.

    I like the colored version.

My wife has been asking me to paint an old-fashioned ‘Florida Oranges’ poster for a while, so I gave it a go today.

My feeling afterwards was the same as after every painting I’ve attempted: envy of people who can actually paint.

(I mean who’d use a paintbrush as a precision instrument? It’s like trying to carve a steak with a spoon.)

Who says you have to use solely a paintbrush?

    You can use a knife!

Many years ago I made a role-playing game called The Supercrew. It’s a superhero game presented in 28 comic book pages. The last months, I have started making some new stuff for the game in swedish. This is a system for experience, in one page, that I just translated:

That’s not only a nice way to present the rules, it’s actually also a really clever rule.

I bought a brush pen, since I wanted to try it out. I used to hate painting with a brush — it didn’t do exactly what I wanted. (Probably because I had crap brushs, since this was when I was a small child.) This is the first attempt at inking something with the brush pen.

In December, I decided I need to get better at drawing faces. Specifically to make them look like real people. I did some research, hoping that some youtube video would reveal som secret making it easy. It turns out the secret is practice, which I hate.

But I did it anyway. These are some of the results:

    Hello:

I was told in the Picture Thread that some comic artwork would
be better off (appropriate) in this section of the board.

I have a few pics by Del’Otto, Stanley Lau, and a few others.

I won’t overwhelm, just the good ones with all the detail for
    all here to examine.

So, is this the thread or not?

My intent was for people to post art they had done themselves, but I’m not the king of the forum.

Why not just create a thread for great comics art in the Comics sub-forum? It might get more traction there as the Creative forum is pretty quiet.

I started to play around with GIMP and made a mockup of a print ad:

Some super-villains for another slow burning role-playing game project:

With the Shoal I got so carried away that I made a one page comic to introduce him. It’s still in swedish, but the henchman first says that Fat Boris sleeps with the fishes, and then keep using fish metaphors, to bad results.
