My best man’s parents were both called Lyn Jenkins after they married (ok the spelling differed, he was Lyn and she was Lynne).
It’s something that will happen with unisex names and abbreviations like Leslie and Pat and Alex and probably more often in the US now there’s a trend of using names like Tyler, Morgan, Blake etc as girls names.
It’s interesting how these things morph over time. Morgan is a very old Welsh name, the most populated county is called Glamorgan, which essentially means Morgan’s Land and dates back well over a 1000 years, maybe double that. It’s probably around the 1970s or so someone in the US, where the name had travelled via migration, thought it was a good first name for a girl and others agreed.
