Question about that pic:
If DC came out with a JLA vs a Darkseid invasion with his monster army, wouldn’t it be too much of an overlap with Avengers: Endgame?
Why is this guy and all his dated technology in my pocket?
Why I like Star Trek and these anecdotes:
And…There is a LOT more. Too many to put here but… if you want go to this site of the artist. He is Stanley Lau and calls himself Artgerm
Amen… A sigh and a smh…
Again, certain ones want to continue to paint me as a sexist and try to control the narrative. I don’t know about this, but I will be patient… for now.
Anyway, the guy is a great artist and also does male heroes if you bothered to look…
And if you have a problem, take the direct approach and DM me…
Margaret Cavendish would like a word.
but I will be patient
Or you could stop objectifying women, but I know that’s asking too much.
Et tu, @lorcan_nagle
Actually, you clarify better than him, so contact me anytime about this. We need to make peace instead of derailing threads.
Now for pics:

Stop. Objectifying. Women.
Haven’t superhero comics always been jerk off material? I know Psylocke gave me a kind of tingle in the Jim Lee years on X-Men…

In all seriousness, I am willing to make peace and settle things if everyone else is:
If you stop posting sexist pictures and views, noone is going call you out for it.
Honestly I’m not taking a side in the debate but what is exactly sexist about the pictures Al posted? Is it the fact that it shows T&A or is it the unrealistic bodytype?
If anyone feels truly feels that way (and if they are honest with themselves in viewing the forum), they would have to say that about other postings that were very risque. For some reason this “sexist” label only applies to me. Review the pictures of the past if you want proof.
What is the difference between “calling someone out” and trolling someone with a snarky meme or pic? Calling someone out at least mean clarifying your point (preferably in a calm way), not cursing, namecalling, snarky memes, making a scene and derailing a thread. Personally, here and in the past MW, I engage in small talk about comics etc., start a few threads on other things. Admittedly, some threads and posts came out ok, others not so much. I throw against a wall and what sticks stays there, the rest fall. Bottom line, I don’t try to come across as “cool” at someone else’s expense.
Contact me in private messages or the Treehousery if you want to go further.

A lot of it is about context I think.
Those Artgerm pictures are pretty representative of his work, which is fine if you like that sort of thing. And when it comes to sexism they’re relatively typical of superhero comics in general (which, yes, do feature sexualised images of buff men in skin-tight outfits too).
But I think the comments here are less about the merits of the material on its own and more about what we’re meant to gain from a post in this thread that’s full of cheesecake material.
We all know this stuff exists in superhero comics and it is what it is – no-one is calling for these books to no longer feature attractive people in flattering outfits, and I don’t think anyone is being prudish or overly sensitive to this stuff.
But if I filled a post in the image thread full of Greg Horn or Terry Dodson sexy-girl superheroes, people would probably think it was a bit odd and wonder why I was doing it.
With the other examples you’re talking about there’s usually a joke or wider point being made by the risqué material, beyond just sharing sexy pics.
Maybe if there’s a particular artist like this that you want to highlight and discuss, we could do it in the comics forum? It would be good to have a little more active discussion there.

That is fair enough about Artgerm.
I like you Dave because you state your case calmy and clarify very well. Which is pretty much all that should be asked for: a nice sit down and discussion.
Now… to be consistent, you would have to complain about every risque pic posted and their innuendo. And you would have to set rules to neuter everything here making it very generic and G rated.
Did it ever occur to anyone how all of sudden we have such woke saints here? Also, “I” can be offended just the same and post snarky memes and fight fire with so much more fire. But I choose not to.
Anyway:
