Yes…
As a kid, I wanted Gladiator vs. Superman badly. Then I found oi later that Gladiator is an analogue/takeoff of Superman. I also found out the Imperial Guard was that of the Legion.

Olsen wearing Batman? 😀
I saw a Jeep the other day, with way too much money put into making it look gaudy & trashy.
Everywhere, all around this thing.
But it was the decal that looked more than just home-made.
Is this a thing? So I put it in a search – “Jeep Boobie Bouncer”
Ha! I don’t know who buys this shit, but how nice of them to mark themselves as idiots.
Thought for sure there’d be some “truck nuts” hanging off the back there…
A little fresh postings there… The sexist label only applies to me apparently…
It’s not a 100% clear judgement to make and there will always be a subjective element there. Some images in this thread occasionally veer into that area for me, but even then there’s usually an element of humour to them that makes them more than just pictures of pretty women served up to be ogled.
The Scooby-Doo pic is a good example – it’s a little rude but it’s also pretty funny I think.
This board has always had a light touch as far as moderation goes and I don’t think anyone wants hard rules about what is and isn’t acceptable or posts regularly removed.
While I’m not a huge fan of “likes” systems in general, I think that in an image-based thread like this one (where there’s only limited discussion) they can be a useful indicator of whether your contribution is appreciated. The most overtly sexist images don’t tend to get many likes.
That sounds like the bullshit a so-called “vampire slayer” would say so they can keep their jobs.

A cosplay of a sexy Velma flashing the TV, and a pic of wanting to get inside/smash Elizabeth Olsen…
Please explain with no games or double talk:
Exactly WHAT was I vilified and labeled sexist for? Did I really do far worse?
I was on holiday when that argument happened and didn’t see the board until I got home, by which time the discussion had finished and some of the images had been deleted. So I can’t comment on that specifically.
For me, with the Velma image there’s overwhelmingly a vibe of humour by using the freeze frame of Scooby-Doo in combination with a real-life nude in a way that the cartoon makers didn’t intend. At the risk of over-analysing the joke I think there’s an element of wit along with the lewdness that makes it work, and the fact that she’s turned away from the viewer makes it feel like she isn’t being served up for our titillation.
The Olsen one feels more crass to me – the wordplay of the joke isn’t enough to overcome the crudeness of the sentiment- but at the same time it’s not as if it’s offering up a sexualised image, just a lusty declaration.
Six of one and half a dozen of the other
So I’ve had variations on this conversation repeatedly in real life:
Double post
I really hope there’s an equivalent of that for the latest Marvel collection on amazon.co.jp
