I agree generally but there is also an element of having too much time to go off the rails.
I saw someone ask on Graham Linehan’s latest tweet on trans issues ‘is this your job now?”. He was the most successful sitcom writer in the UK and Ireland for a while and now does fuck all.
Stats show 25% of women in the UK report having been sexually assaulted, 97% are never prosecuted and that’s the hill these people are dying on as a feminist stance? Hypothetical issues.
There are plenty of poor bigots but I think most don’t have the luxury of handing over their time of self destructive nonsense. Russell Brand without his financial advantages (and I know he comes from a working class background) probably would be too busy trying to earn a crust to be posting YouTube videos about Bill Gates putting chips into Covid vaccines he wasn’t even involved with.

I saw George Monbiot talking about Brand on Twitter yesterday or so and – owing to the fact I’ve never particularly liked him, even when he was just a whimsical heroin addict TV presenter – I’ve not paid any attention to Brand in years. Last I knew he was telling young people not to vote because it doesn’t matter (which is a largely stupid idea). But in replies to Monbiot’s piece, some posted screencaps of Brand’s YT channel and it is shocking just how bananas it is. I don’t know if he’s at full Icke levels yet, but it’s up there.
