Figured this deserved a bigger audience than just the Star Trek thread since I’ve been laughing non-stop at it for the last few minutes:
This is joyful.

I bet Al’s google image search history makes for interesting reading.
My, how things have changed since Bruce Timm drew this.
Don’t we all?
Don’t we all?
Dammit…

Okay, so I waited for the weekend to post this (and blame the alcohol!)
Seriously, Mods, if it’s over the line I have no objection to it’s removal.
Edit to add: I stand by the previous statement, up to you.
My only concern is with setting a precedent. I’m not removing it as I don’t think it’s warranted.
However, this subject matter is not a hill to die on.
Take the easy route if that’s best, community peace first is an okay reason.
Thanks, and sorry if you’re offended.
peace, cheers, and love you all!

Removed it myself. No behind the scenes talking, no pressure.
Not out of huge guilt, but I can’t possibly know what it’s like.
It was insensitive.

I keep seeing CRT, thinking it’s Cathode Ray Tube and wondering why people have started getting aggro over obsolete tech.

To be fair, a lot of old TV was quite racist.
Isn’t that just, like Chekov’s Crucifix or something?
Not quite “everywhere” but a solid effort by Cash.
Imagine how that guy must have felt coming up with that. You don’t get many moments like that in your life.

How much time did you need – the Department of Education’s own Twitter account tweeted about it yesterday.
We're encouraging schools across the UK to celebrate One Britain One Nation Day on 25 June, when children can learn about our shared values of tolerance, kindness, pride and respect.#OBONDAY21 @1Britain1Nation

I’m going through the website of the organisation the DoE has glommed onto and their testimonial page is something. Starts with Joanna Lumley (as you would) has a few professors, a string of politicians, token religious leaders from each religion (one of whom is just listed as “CEO and Chief Imam” without explanation) and then ends with the chief executive of the British Wrestling Association and Andrew Prodger of Powerboat GP. Yes, THE Powerboat GP!
Now you can see exactly why Brits and Germans take over the coast of southern Spain every year.
The heat of the gulf stream also always skews in our minds how far north most of Europe is. People tend to think London’s probably on the same line as New York, Spain with Florida.
Nope – Madrid is in line with New York and most of Britain is way up in Newfoundland.
Presumably the sub-heading was “Yeeahh, baby!”

Aww, look at li’l Lynchy!
His father’s name is Donald so alas that isn’t Lynch. But I wonder what he thinks of Price, and for that matter what Price thought of him…

Came here to post that. You bastard!
How did you get a photo of the motivational collage I keep above my desk at home?
Primarily for @lorcan_nagle given his last posting:
