I just heard the sad news that Paul Neary has died. He had a great career in comics and did some cracking work on books like Authority, Ultimates and JLA. I wasn’t aware of his poor health. A shame. RIP.

He’s one of the few artists whose work hangs proudly on my wall, this splash from Millar & Hitch’s Ultimates, which I think shows off his amazing skill.
His work on the oversized JLA: Heaven’s Ladder was just astonishing too, really incredible, detailed stuff.
