I came up with these cover sketches for the superhero espionage family drama comic I’ve been developing. This would be for the introductory story. Which of these would you consider more eye-catching? If you were at your LCS, down to your last bit of money, which cover would get you to spend that money?

    I chose 1, but it was between 1 & 2, over 3 & 4.

3 seemed a little odd with her faced obscured.

Two is the one people have chosen the most when I show these and try to gauge opinion.

Put it to ChatGPT and this is its response:

For the strongest cover, let’s consider the key elements needed to capture the audience’s attention and convey the story’s essence:

    1. **Visual Impact:** The cover should be visually striking and immediately draw the reader’s eye.
    2. **Character Dynamics:** The relationship between Leopard and Jasmine should be clear and compelling.
    3. **Thematic Clarity:** The cover should effectively communicate the dual themes of superhero action and family drama.

    ### Sketch Comparison:
    – **Sketch 1:**
    – **Strengths:** Clear protective stance by Leopard, concerned but trusting Jasmine.
    – **Weaknesses:** Slightly less dynamic pose, Jasmine appears somewhat hidden.

    – **Sketch 2:**
    – **Strengths:** Strong protective stance by Leopard, Jasmine appears more relaxed.
    – **Weaknesses:** Less dynamic interaction between characters.

    – **Sketch 3:**
    – **Strengths:** Leopard’s tense, focused expression, clear protective positioning.
    – **Weaknesses:** Jasmine is almost too hidden, less emphasis on their bond.

    – **Sketch 4:**
    – **Strengths:** Dynamic hand gesture from Leopard, both characters side by side, strong sense of partnership.
    – **Weaknesses:** None significant, visually and thematically balanced.

    ### Recommendation:
**Sketch 4** stands out as the strongest cover. It effectively balances visual impact, character dynamics, and thematic clarity. Leopard’s protective yet dynamic pose and Jasmine’s calm demeanor side by side convey a sense of partnership and evolving relationship, making it a compelling and engaging cover for *Codename: Leopard*.
