We probably need a thread for this!
Looking forward to ‘Joker’.

Oh ok.
Because I found the stuff about soft lock and picture lock pretty interesting.
…
More interesting then BvS and the Justice League movie!
HAHAHAHA. Tim is great
Because I found the stuff about soft lock and picture lock pretty interesting.
Yes, it’s interesting, but it’s got nothing to do with the question “does it exist or not?”. It’s okay to explain those things, but it’s not okay to claim “it must be this” just based on that. The fact is: besides the people directly involved, no one knows for sure what it and what isn’t, so the sensible thing to do is simply believe what those people involved say about it. Could they be lying? Sure I guess, although I don’t see what would be the point of lying, but whatever…
Tim is great
That’s… debatable.
No it’s not
No it’s not
I hear there’s a Snyder cut of Tim that’s much better than the one we’re currently stuck with. But it’s just a rumor.

I hear there’s a Snyder cut of Tim that’s much better than the one we’re currently stuck with.
We could only hope.
I don’t know if it’s better but it sure has a LOT more nudity.
This post has received 1 vote up.
3 guesses who this is and the first two don’t count. (psst…it is Tim)
I really don’t have a clue but I believe that of any of us, Tim is the most eager to see Tim naked
It’s probably Jon.
I personally have no desire to see Tim naked again.
I personally have no desire to see Tim naked
again.
Liar.
You know it’s going to be a great day when you wake up to people discussing you naked.
And we’re not pointing and laughing this time!
Well, I’m pointing and laughing, but I’m doing it discreetly.
What you and Tim do in the privacy of the bedroom (or broom closet) is your own business.
But it’s not when we do it in your bedroom
Bedroom, bowling green, bingo club, municipal park, it’s all really semantics when love is real.
I think I’m falling behind on my quota of Cracked articles: Hey DC, Making Superman Relevant Is Extremely Easy
Well now I’m cracking up.
I wasn’t even trying to peek, I swear. Looks like Christmas came early. In the spirit of Christmas, and because no more Mr. Robot, I was going to say something nice about Man of Steel. And I was trying not to be naughty and to be all neat and tidy and put it in the right place because I know you lads like your topics to be just so. I’ve completely forgotten what I was going to say about Man of Steel now…
…Justice for Tim! Tim is great – some things are not debatable.
Okay, you’ve convinced me. Snyder is the best (I enjoyed The Wake, – bonus points to Séan Murphy for saying I was adorable; he was Steve McQueen cool – also American Vampire, and Court of Owls. Wytches was very unsettling. You all should read A.D.: After Death. Jeff Lemire must have a bunch of clones. Plus Scott likes Elvis like Christian Slater’s Clarence Cool. See, now I’m back to Mr. Robot: everything is connected).
I guess now I know why Tim thinks The Carrier needs a more feminine touch: if they try to entice you into an Amy Adams bath, Tim, I has all the bubbles. I’ll leave it someone else to strategically place them.
Thank Grodd for B!
I can only take so many mornings of waking up to Snyder fans posting about picturing me naked!
Over time, we get to find out more about how films are made, and remade as they’re made;
It was supposed to be a boom tube as she was under control of a motherbox. All the Apokalypse elements were stripped out late in the game. The machine concept was an attempt to create a ticking clock and world threat. https://t.co/NTDRrAv4rx
— David Ayer (@DavidAyerMovies) December 28, 2019
He’s talked a bit about this before.
From November 2018:
This is right. Enchantress was under the control of a mother box and Steppenwolfe was prepping an invasion with a boom tube. Had to lose that then the JL story arcs evolved. https://t.co/pSAag9rpZq

Snyder and Ayer Reveal How Darkseid’s Forces Once Figured Into SUICIDE SQUAD And JUSTICE LEAGUE
#ReleaseTheAyerCut
I get that reference.
Suicide Squad was an unrequited plea for more John Cusack.
Everything is a plea for more John Cusack. Well other than his recent movies I mea.
I almost met John Cusack once.
No, everything is about Gambit. You can Say Anything: he’s Cusack cool. Somewhere I have the perfect boombox image to illustrate, but I’ve lost it.
You sure you’re not talking about Martin Blank, Bernadette?
It’s not ME! Why does everyone think it’s personal.
I love that movie. Endlessly quotable. Bennie the Jet (Mirror in the Bathroom, and delightfully deranged Joan Cusack. The Specials: you’re wondering now…
<p style=”text-align: left;”>Aw and you still won’t join the union.</p>
He’s talked a bit about this before.
Huh. Okay, that connection would’ve marginally improved the plot of Suicide Squad. Not that it would’ve mattered with that turd of shit movie.
Don’t sit on the fence there Christian, what did you really think?

Still think it looks like fun. Although about 95% of that is Robbie.
Looks fun, lower key than I expected, despite the glitter and the hyena. Light entertainment?
I’m in favour of a superhero-ish movie that doesn’t end with a robot/clone/crowd army and/or a swirly mass of “stuff” above the city.
You’re going to post yourself out of a job with talk like that
[geek troll]this is totally wrong. i can’t believe that these people know nothing about Harley Quinn and the Birds of Prey. How could they get it SOO wrong. They named the hyena Bruce????? OMG SMH WTF [/geek troll]
trailer looks fun and happy. like the enthusiasm and the action.
Still think it looks like fun. Although about 95% of that is Robbie.
Agreed. It’s weird that they show McGregor but he never speaks. He’s usually a huge draw for a film for me.
He spoke in the first trailer.
It’s very noisy and frantic. It’s leaving me dizzy.
‘Batwoman,’ ‘Harley Quinn’ & ‘Duncanville’ Head To Britain’s Channel 4
The Harley Quinn series is great.
I watched it last night. It was well done. the Arrow episode was written by Marv Wolfman which was a nice touch. the only unfortunate part was the Legends got shorted on their own show. Like Todd’s post above showed, there seemed to be no limit on which universes were displayed on the show.
The Marv Wolfman cameo was nice.
Not a huge fan of merging the worlds. I preferred Supergirl doing its own thing.
i think she will for the most part. How do you like her new boss? and her new BFF, Kate?
ohh this is nice… looks like unfinished CGI, but still nice to see Darkseid in action…
Weird. You’d think the cgi would be complete if there was an actual Snyder cut. 🤷🏻♂️
Weird. You’d think the cgi would be complete if there was an actual Snyder cut. 🤷🏻♂️
He shares a lot of behind the scenes stuff, so not weird at all… and even IF that’s the CGI there is, that’s not bad at all…
Also… eh… you know what? I’m not even gonna bother…
Not a huge fan of merging the worlds. I preferred Supergirl doing its own thing.
I feel the same way about Black Lightning.
It’s weird that they show McGregor but he never speaks.
I know it is an ad for the soundtrack but he has a line in this ad.
Oscar Isaac to star and produce The Great Machine (x)
Oscar Isaac has closed a deal to star in and produce The Great Machine, Legendary’s adaptation of Brian K. Vaughan’s Eisner Award-winning Wildstorm comic book title, Ex Machina.
Isaac will produce alongside his longtime manager and producer Jason Spire. The two worked together previously to produce MGM’s Operation Finale. Vaughan the prolific creator behind Y: The Last Man, Saga and Paper Girl, is also producing.
Legendary acquired the rights to Machina only recently, with the rights deal falling under its three-year overall film and television pact with Vaughan. Anna Waterhouse and Joe Shrapnel, who wrote the recent Kristen Stewart-starring drama Seberg, are set to write the script.
Isaac will play as Mitchell Hundred.
That’s exciting news. I think he could be great.
That’s almost too meta. The world is increasingly weird. Can’t think why they changed the name for the adaptation.
I think Oscar Isaac could be a movie star. He even looks like Mitchell Hundred.
Hopefully, it’s better than the last comic book movie he was in.
The Addams Family was pretty good!
That’s almost too meta. The world is increasingly weird. Can’t think why they changed the name for the adaptation.
Two Oscar Isaac movies called Ex Machina is too much for the world to take!
I don’t mind the name change. The Great Machine has multiple levels of meaning in the same way Ex Machina does.
Exactly!
I only mind they didn’t make the right name change. They should call it The Great Oscar.
If this is the algorithmic work of the AI, not too shabby for a first attempt.
In “writer wants work” news:
All I am saying is Black Canary solo movie starring @jurneesmollett.
And I write it.
And it has Huntress.
And Savant and Creote.

‘Batwoman’, ‘Harley Quinn’ & ‘Duncanville’ Head To Britain’s Channel 4
The Harley Quinn series is great.
I wonder if they outbid Sky for Batwoman.
And have Sky worked out if/how they’re showing the Crisis episode of Batwoman yet?
I caught up with the rest of the event today and it was ok. It’s still very much a series that works on the strength of its fan service and the sheer ambition of trying to replicate the original COIE rather than being a particularly good story, for the most part.
I’m fine with Supergirl being on New Earth with Flash et al – it makes practical sense for all CW’s shows to be on one Earth now, it’s convenient for her relationships to Kate and Barry and if they want to shuffle supporting characters around a bit. But diegetically it doesn’t make much sense given that the multiverse was restored anyway. It makes even less sense that Black Lightning was thrown in there, given Ollie didn’t even meet him (maybe he should have been one of the paragons – it’d have made more sense than having Kevin Choi hang around to not do an awful lot and not become the Atom like we’re all expecting him to).
Nice to see the Arrowverse finally take that step towards a Justice League now they can fill it out properly, although again, the line-up makes more sense from a production stand point (the leads of all the shows) vs in-universe (would Black Lightning, who they spoke to for like 15 minutes, make that cut over say, Ray or even Diggle?)
The glimpses of the multiverse at the end very much felt like a case of “and here are all the shows we won’t be touching in the future and are nothing to do with us” clarification rather than a look at the wonders of the multiverse. Super-Routh needed the closure from getting screwed by Luthor, but would it have killed them to show a defunct show like Birds of Prey still existing too, given they showed it get wiped out?
Marv Wolfman’s cameo was nice. As for the one in part 4, well, it’s impressive they did it, but man did it make me not want to see any more of that character.
In “writer wants work” news:
That is probably true but Gail has already written this story. Birds of Prey 56-59. Savant and Creote are interesting characters.
And have Sky worked out if/how they’re showing the Crisis episode of Batwoman yet?
No, there’s no sign of the shows coming back in the next few weeks.

Another flash forward concept illustration I was working for costumer designer Maya Mani during Arrow season 7 was a new Black Canary suit for Laurel in the final season. The idea to give her and the team the refined version of their previous suits that are more comic accurate version. Too bad these didn’t make it into the final season but sure was a lot of fun to do! Can’t wait to see the new spin off show with 2 canaries! @thecw @cw_arrow @katiecassidy #blackcanary #laurellance #earth2 #earth1 #blacksiren #concept #conceptart #costume #design #illustration #new52 #rebirth @dccomics
I don’t mind the name change.
Me neither, it makes sense not to clash with the other film and cause confusion and it comes from the comic itself rather than some brainless executive suggesting it should be called ‘Techno-Man’ or something.
I, personally, look forward to the premier of Techno-Man!!
I, personally, look forward to the premier of Techno-Man!!
Wasn’t that your stripper name?
That’s exciting news. I think he could be great.
Yep. He’s a fantastic actor, and I can very easily see him as Mitchell Hundred. Also, Isaacs means there’s quite a bit of star power behind this, and a lot of reason for the studio to not skimp on the production money. This could be a really, really good show. Don’t mind the name change, either.
We don’t know yet how close this will be to the comic book, but I am already wondering how they will deal with the ending. I actually kind of hope that the show doesn’t stay too close to the book where that is concerned and changes that fucking depressing ending.
I agree. While I didn’t mind it for the comic and I’ve come to like it more over the years, I’m not convinced it would work for the adaptation.
….And special shoutout to all the great BL fans who greet me in the street, airports, restaurants. Your appreciation means the world to me. Know that I treasure it. I think you have to change it to some degree, the final reveal is very much of its time and wouldn’t really work today
Justice League Dark: Bad Robot Developing Film & TV Projects Based On Warner Bros. DC Comics
I hear that Bad Robot, through its new deal at Warner Media, is exclusively developing both film and TV ideas based on DC’s Justice League Dark universe at Warner Bros.
This deal is all very nascent and at this point in time there aren’t any specific projects or characters that are being specifically developed out of the franchise. I understand that Bad Robot’s Head of Motion Pictures Hannah Minghella and Head of Television Ben Stephenson will soon be taking meetings with talent reps and their writing clients on which characters will get their own projects.
Ok.
I’d just give it to James Wan, on the condition he’d direct it and not just produce. Of course, after they killed of his ‘Swamp Thing’ show he might prefer to stick to ‘Aquaman’ sequels and tell them to find someone else?
If ‘New Mutants’ does well it could give this a kick in the ass.
And if ‘Dr. Strange 2’ emerges as some kind of horror-ish film and does well then Warners will begin to look like they’re left behind again.
I would use the current Justice League Dark. You get the star power of Wonder Woman, Detective Chimp could be DC’s version of Rocket Raccoon and Tynion’s Man-Bat is a great goofy Mad Scientist. It is also small enough to avoid being unwieldy.
We need a British Constantine or GTFO.
I enjoy Keanu’s movie, but it’s an Elseworld. If they kept Matt Ryan for another new series I’d be fine with that. If they do a movie then they’ll recast with someone better known.
We need a British Constantine or GTFO.
Word!
I still think Justice League Dark is one of the stupidest names they’ve ever come with… surprised it’s still in use… =/

I just watched the Legends season premiere last night and liked the concept. The afterfilm Q and A was perfect. Zari’s brother being a stoner was a nice touch(also glad she is still on the show) and Mona’s end result was nice. Her schtick gets old quick.

But does it come in black?
The New Batmobile Is Reportedly More Of A Muscle Car Than A Tank
By some fluke, I had a copy of the script for Batman Begins long before the film came out. I loved the description the script gave of the Tumbler. It was something like “a Lamborghini meets a tank” and it was dead on.
But does it come in black?
Sorry, it only comes in either lavender or chartreuse.

Is that a chair? For a moment I thought they’d gone all out on nipples on the bat-costume this time.
Inverted nipples?
No, just the rest of the suit is really padded.
I’m guessing Green Lantern? Can’t be bothered to check though.
I admit it, I squeed, I squeed alot.
