Wow, 2021 is off to an anemic start. I bought two books today, I ordered two books for next week, and there is nothing of interest to me for January 20th.
The good news is I’m saving lots of money!!
The Trades Thread wants a word.
The Trades Thread wants a word.
Hey, I ordered the first TPB of That Texas Blood even though I own the 6 individual issues; and yesterday I picked up Savage Dragon Archives Vol 10 despite owning the 25 issues collected therein. I’M DOING MY PART! The publishers need to do theirs!!

@sean_robinson did you include that Legion cover just to irritate @davidm and other legion fans like myself.
Awful character designs, but Sook’s covers have been a highlight of the series.
Superboy did a little too much cocaine before posing for that cover.
I’ll no pollute my body with that shite!
Why? You got some?
did you include that Legion cover just to irritate @davidm and other legion fans like myself.
I actually am a few issues behind, and delayed my final trip to my LCS so I could get LSH # 12.
I do consider myself a fan.
I’m not hating Bendis’ take, but if it continues on then it would have to get considerably better.
I can forgive the first year if it finds it’s groove in the second, but may be asking a bit much.
Looking into the future, at least as far as April, and there is still no solicit for issue # 12.
Maybe they’ve achieved what they wanted for legal reasons and are now pausing.
If it’s another reboot, then it has to be given to Hickman when he’s finished with X-men.
Or another high caliber candidate, but unlikely if they don’t want to pay.
One idea could be OGN’s. Whoever is doing it gets to do their vision not tied into continuity, and bring in whoever they want from the DCU. Their version of Superboy and/or Supergirl, or any Kryptonian. Villains and heroes from any era. Pulsar Stargrave, The Time Trapper.
The 31st century is a creative playground!
The contract could be tied into how well they sell (definitely would have to be people with the love).
Grant Morrison and John Cassaday. Mark Millar and Gene Ha. Mark Waid and Bryan Hitch.
Or the other way of thinking is I need to realize I’ve already read the best of it, and it’s in the past.
Don’t want to admit that. Also scared if that thread gets tugged on it applies to lots of other properties.
No, I’m happy to be stuck wondering “how can you fuck this up?”

Not saying this to hurt Meadows, but LoSH is not one of DC’s top tier books. It is one of their iconic books but not at the same level of Justice League.
As such, they don’t have to have it always be in continual production. Because of this, it would probably be a good idea to give the book a rest for a while. Wait till they can find the right team with the right pitch. Build anticipation for the book. They don’t need to rush into it. Take some time to do it right.

No less because Bendis is going to be writing Justice League. I’d much rather he was given one book to focus on because he’s not a bad writer but his writing seems to suffer greatly whenever he has a lot of titles. An often repeated argument here…

This is part of the problem with Bendis. he examines ideas he thinks are interesting. He should be writing stories that are interesting. I did not even bother because I did not have the faith that he would ever find that groove.
Mark Waid and Bryan Hitch.
Waid has been there, done that, and been burned by it(editorial shoehorning Supergirl in his story with Kitson). I don’t think he would come back.

they have already done this. That is how we got Bendisboot
Hickman really is a diehard oldschool LoSH fan but unless they have plans for it in Film/TV they won’t pay him what he is worth.
Is anyone else bothered by the fact that DYNAMITE is releasing four new books on February 3rd, but with variant covers the total number of listed products is 49? 49!! Does anyone actually still buy these? And, if so, why?!?
ill buy Dynamite occasionally if Simone or Abnett are writing for them and one reason for so many covers is that some times they will do special covers for single comic shops. Another reason is it is one piece of art copied four times (regular, virgin, b& w, virgin b&w).

For sprock’s sake, DC, can you stop re-branding the Legion archives long enough to get even two volumes in a row that look like they’re in the same series????
