So, in the Green Goblin’s first appearance (Amazing Spider-man #14), the Goblin tricks Spider-man into thinking he’s going to be in a movie. There are two panels between which they travel from Hollywood to New Mexico…

…and I was like “what happened on that journey??” Well now we know… (Words & pictures by me)

You could probably make a series of this, a lot of compressed time in silver age comics and generally weird ideas, like a road trip with the Green Goblin.

I’ll be leaving future episodes to others, considering how long it took me to draw this! It’s given me renewed appreciation for comic artists – you have no idea how much work goes into every page until you try it for yourself. Even as simple a page as this, with repeated elements, just involves so much work!

It is good cartooning though Steve. A lot of different expressions rather than just repeating the same panel, good work.

That’s probably what really started them being archenemies.
